Alex McCormick

I am an expert in vehicle modelling and simulation, currently applying my skills to vehicle performance optimisation in at the seven-time consecutive Formula 1 World Champions, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team. In my own time, I took on personal programming projects for fun, learning new languages and developing a range of techniques which have allowed me to build unique and high-performing pieces of software.

I graduated top of my class from Southampton University, studying Aeronautics and Astronautics with a focus on Aerodynamics and Controls. During my three years at the university, I was part of the ‘SUFST’ Southampton University Formula Student Team, building suspension modelling tools in my first year, and graduating to Head of Suspension and then Head of Simulations.
